The group Illiaque's repertoire is based on south American music of the 1960s. waynos, carnavalitos, tonadas, takirari rhythms, cueca dancing, kantu music... the trio sings of peasant-folk, miners and women, accompanying itself on traditional Peruvian and Bolivian instruments (zamponas, charango, kena) but also using the guitar and percussion. the result is a delightful cocktail of lively and unforgettable melodies.
