The Pans, made from the tops of oil drums, were originally played for personal pleasure. They have gradually become more sophisticated, are skilfully hammered and tuned, and they come in several sizes. Such is their diversity that the dextrous musicians are able to play almost any style of music, from calypso to popular pieces.
