The great Angélique Ionatos returns with a new recording - D’un Bleu Très Noir. As the title implies, it’s a blues album - but not in the traditional sense. Angélique gives the genre a new color and a new focus. Using instruments not normally associated with the blues, such as the bandonéon and the violin, gives the music a special ‘dark blue’ color, combining both modernity and tradition, intellect and a powerful sensuality.
