The Neopolitan socio-political, musical cult-band E Zezi has been spreading its working class message to Italy and France for 21 years. Growing out of the factories of the Italian auto industry, E Zezi has planted roots in lower-class culture. Musically grounded in established folk traditions, the group is an amalgam of political opinion, folk music, and expressionism with raw, primal rhythms and songs. Important and significant music from Italy. Good notes included. 10 tracks.

We are proud to be releasing a very unique album by the Neapolitan group, 'E Zezi' called 'Pumarolla Black'. Eccentric, outraged and outrageous, this Neapolitan socio-political, musical cult-band has been spreading its working class message to Italy and France for twenty-one years. Growing out of the factories of the Italian auto industry, E Zezi has planted firm and growing roots in lower-class culture. Musically grounded in established Italian folk traditions, E Zezi is an amalgam of political opinion, folk music, and expressionism whose raw, primal rhythms and songs aim straight at the heart and soul. E Zezi performs both on traditional instruments, and instruments of their own invention. Once you've sampled E Zezi's working class reality, you'll never forget it! Released by special arrangement with Tide Records, Rome Italy. Produced by David Petrosino.
