This is the first of all the Folkways children's albums that the Smithsonian chose to release on CD. It's one of their most popular. Pete Seeger is an American treasure, famous for folksinging, civil rights activism, and his overall contribution to American culture. Few know, however, that much of his musical career was spent entertaining children. 12 stories and songs.

A wonderful collection of story songs, including the famous saga of the kindly giant Abiyoyo. Parents and kids can follow along with the complete text in the enclosed booklet. "An essential collection." —Record Roundup
