Royalty of Thailand have long considered it their duty to serve the state by supporting the performing arts. The daughter of King Rama IX, an accomplished musician, underwent initiations rites and pays ritual homage to musical masters of the past and present. She is author of one of these recordings, all of traditional forms and described in accompanying booklet. Produced for the 1994 Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife. 4 tracks.
