This volume gathers the music of four influential Québécois performers from the 78rpm era: harmonica player Henri Lacroix and accordionists Joseph Plante, Joseph Guilmette, and Théodore Duguay. Although most of the sides presented here were recorded in the 1920s and 30s, their influence on more recent French Canadian music remains strong.
